A good PowerPoint presentation can engage the audience and inspire action. Unfortunately many people use PowerPoint in a way that is, shall we say, a tad boring. Bullet points, corporate visuals or alternatively the random pictures they downloaded from the internet can all contribute to the famous Death by PowerPoint effect that I’m sure you are keen to avoid.

We use PowerPoint as a platform, a vehicle to tell the story. If the presentation is used publicly we recommend you upload the presentation on Slideshare which turns the presentation into a clickable slideshow.

Busy people like PowerPoint – or why Slideshare rocks

I’ve experimented with various content formats online and I’ve discovered an interesting phenomenon: some people are too busy for video. When you are trying to find out about something you just want the facts and skip through irrelevant stuff. You can’t skip to the key points with video – but you can do it with PowerPoint.

If you are for example organising an event a good strategy is to put the presentations on Slideshare where people can click through them at their own pace in their own time. Very often we recommend that people take advantage of Slideshare – the YouTube of PowerPoint presentations. You don’t need to direct people to that site – simply grab the embed code (just like on YouTube) and put the clickable PPT on your own site.

What we do

We can take an existing presentation and turn it into something that packs a bit more punch.

Or we can create a presentation from scratch (in which case we of course work with you to make sure the messaging is right).

Testimonials

“Thank you thank you thank you! I presented my Prezi today to the senior leadership team – and they’re on board to start a pilot program. I LOVE the graphics, they are so amazingly helpful! They really loved the new one you provided – that was the ticket to get them to agree to do it”.

“Virpi’s visual interpretations of our subject matter injected a very well received and much needed enlightening twist. The visuals have certainly stirred up the teams and have truly helped us in getting the desired result!”

“Communication with Business illustrator was very straightforward and flexible. After our first initial conversation I was able to give Virpi the full responsibility to lead the project. The best part was that the service did not just include the illustrations, but also the story and the copy. Discussions with Virpi also clarified our own communication about our company. The end product was more inventive that we could have ever done on our own”.
