We’ve all seen the innovation distribution curve (above). But those banging their heads on involved in organisational change efforts might sometimes feel that the word “chasm” doesn’t quite describe the challenge you are facing…

Do you also have illus on Agility?
I cover “agile” as a generic characteristic of fast moving organisations, but I haven’t drawn about specific agile methodologies if that’s what you mean? Not yet anyway :).
I mean both sides. Thanks Paul
I see. Well agility as a broader concept I cover for example in these longer pieces: Why organisations must change and Why invest in an enterprise social network. But I haven’t visualised any specific agile methodologies. I’ve been thinking about doing a generic “what is agile” (the various things it can mean) as well as “what is design thinking”.
Agility is more than a method. It is a mind-set.
Yep, exactly. One could even call it responsiveness. That’s what I’m kind of trying to get across in pieces like Why organisations must change. Also, I’m trying not to intimidate people who feel more secure in industrial era comprehensive planning and prediction mindset. Hence the more playful style.
I enjoy your illus on change very much. They could be a serious guide for changemanagers and decisionmakers in a very short way.
Ability is a people business and teams are central.. ,
I’m glad you enjoy them! I’ve been thinking about creating a book that consists of these types of visual explanations on organisational change and human behaviour (including social networks – who follows who). All the key concepts and ideas in one place. Maybe add links to downloads as well.
